We have been overwhelmed by the good wishes and wonderful stories so many of you have shared with us. For us, Doug was a great brother and son, along with being a meticulous pilot, a pioneering engineer, and a giver of time and talent.

Most importantly, thank you for your friendship and generosity at this difficult time. Doug would have wanted all of us to celebrate and embrace the life he lived – he lived it well.

Great memories.

posted on behalf of Tony Rossetti

I have great memories of when Doug taught me to fly, then later my son too. Doug piloted us on a great fly-trip/camping adventure with my brother and son to Lassen National Park. Doug pulled several of us together and taught aviation ground school and, for some, eventual flight instruction. I really enjoyed his adventurous spirit. He worked hard as a conscientious engineer, but never lost sight of having fun.
